Sunny Solvang! And the GOOD LUCK!

Just a recap on Yesterday's travels: I swam an easy 30min and rode the Powercranks for 27min. Yep, 27min only - and I was done. I was getting frustrated riding them indoors. My flight to the US was uneventful. I had no mishaps - which is actually a mishap in itself! Almost every time I travel something is bound to happen. I am knocking on wood.

SO I am in Sunny Solvang - although it was rather a dull day today. The sun shone in the morning and was hidden by clouds mid-afternoon. Chuckie kept the day mellow with a small swim time trial and a 2 hour easy bike. The Century is in two days and we would like to be fresh for that day on the bike.

I am staying with an absolute awesome family and feel quite spoiled. I have my own room - with a TV and satellite!!!, my own fridge (that I plan to jam-pack full!) and bathroom. There are two young girls there - 8 and 9 I believe and they are absolutely great children. I am excited to hang out with them actually. I love that age.

Now for the most outrageous thing that has ever happened to me! - mostly LUCK was on my side:
Last time I was here I lost/misplaced a pair of VERY nice tights, a running hat and band. I checked all the lockers at the YMCA, the lost and found and checked three days in a row. They were gone and I was angry that I lost such a good pair of tights. Now, a month later, my first day back at the Y, I went to the change rooms to put my stuff in the locker and change. You will not believe this but the VERY FIRST LOCKER I opened, low'n'behold there were my tights, my hat and band! I had to do a double take! CRAZY I KNOW! But it happened! I am stoked and thinking WTF? This is really really weird... I am hoping that this is an omen saying that I only have good things ahead!!!!

That's absolutely hilarious! Goes to show how often they clean out the change area (hope they clean the pool better - yuck!).

Have fun in Solvang. I'll be cursing you and Chuckie when I'm still shovelling snow. :P

That just proves that if you want to find something, you need to stop looking for it.

Works for me every time.
