Adventures!

Since my travels back to California, I've had some amazing days -travelling, meeting some nice people, falling in love with the area, riding my bike and seeing my first tarantula! I've managed to remember the camera and below are some awesome pics of the new bike!

This picture is a bit late but it was taken on our way back to California! Training alone in the desert!

This is a picture of me at Jalama Beach! It is the most scenic beach front here in the valley! Chuckie and I rode the 44-miles (out and back) at a blistering pace and enjoyed the views!

Two days ago, Chuckie and I rode the famous Figueroa Mountain. We ended up doing repeats (1 on the front-side, and 3 on the back-side). It was crazy hot so we carried 5 extra water bottles up for the epic day. Chuckie even went and filled my two empty water bottles half-way up the mountain at the Ranger Station and then TT to catch me. What coach does that!?

Climbing...climbing...and more climbing....

Check out this amazing view! ...and the bike!

Yikes! I know! No worries, I didn't touch it, nor did Chuckie. Our picture we took didn't turn out so we had to take this one off the Internet. It was just as scary though!

Back in California and going caveman.

Chuckie and I made the trip back to sunny California. It was a great adventure that included checking out Moab, sleeping in the desert, seeing my first rattlesnake (this was awesome!), and 1300 long miles of driving a big Budget truck and trailer.

I'm settling in to the beautiful weather in CA and preparing for Worlds 70.3. I'm limited in computer use (libraries only) so I'll be going a bit cavemen and will not be posting regularly. I can be reached by email though! The less I am able to get on the computer the more focused I will be in training! It is a blessing in disguise!

Cheers and see you at Worlds!
PS. I'm on my new bike (AVIA painted frame!) It's FAST... but only as fast as the rider. (pictures will be up when I can remember to bring Chuckie's camera to the library!)
